The Mind – A Still Life Demo

The Mind - A Still Life Demo

I ran a small informal photography demo/class today, illustrating how to do a still life indoor shot and processing using Photoshop. I was rather pleased at the result considering the conditions at the facility. Due to the limited space available, I had to shoot fairly close to the subject and stitch together several focus stacked images. A reflector umbrella with 5500K lights provided side lighting.

Exposure Data: ISO 6400, f/16, 1/10

Professional photographer and ponderer of the unusual. I welcome the presence of mystery and the unknown. Wonder is not absent from the universe, and there is still room for the child in those who haven't yet allowed their hearts to wither to dust.

  1. Brilliant…I have never stitched photos. That’s my next stop in PS. Composites and stitching

    1. Thank you, Rajiv. I urge you to check out CombineZP. It’s the software I use to focus stack. It’s free and does a nice job. Cheers! :)

      1. Hey, thanks a ton! I will try this!
